Following on from yesterday's Joanna Newsom post I thought I'd talk about Alasdair Roberts. I saw him support Joanna at The Queen Elizabeth Hall in April last year, (review here) and I have to say that on the night his playing drew me in much more than her's. I'm not a huge fan of folk music as a whole, but Alasdair's stripped down honest playing and guitar skill had me truely in awe. Music in it's simplest, and in many ways most beautiful, form.
