vehicle

I was up in London yesterday checking out new video stuff at the video forum which gave me the chance to listen to my MP3 player all day. Hurrah! I have to say that, like many of you, I'm really enjoying the Jenny Lewis album at the moment. I'm just annoyed that I didn't get tickets to go and see her at the Spitz tomorrow night. Grrrrr!

Another track that has been on my MP3 player for a very long time is 'vehicle' by Chet Baker. It's another one of those 'makes you walk faster' tracks that really suit a good earphone listen! The track is from 'Blood Chet and Tears' which is a strange album recorded not that long after Chet got his front teeth knocked out by his drug dealer.

If you haven't read it, I can highly recommend deep in a dreamthat gives you a proper picture of what 'the devil with an angel's voice' might have really been like.

Nice version! A tad "Theme From Cop Show!" for me, but fun nonetheless.

... At the risk of sounding totally patronizing (I apologize in advance if I am), you know this was an A.M. hit for The Ides of March back in the early '70s, sung and written by Jim Peterik (who would later found and write for Survivor).

I didn't know .. I guess it never got to the UK .. I've always imagined this tune with words!

pretty good, I've never had a good track to turn me on to his music but this might be the one, thanks.
