Right now I'm listening to a city slang compilation from a few years ago that celebrates the songwriting talents of lee hazelwood. It's pretty good stuff. I'm not sure hazelwood was as celebrated here in the UK as he might have been over in the USA.
One of the highlights for me is the Calexico track which has vocals from Valerie Leulliot of Autour de Lucie.
